The 50th Anniversary of the Forest Fair was held July 4-6, 2025 and below are some of the pictures taken throughout the event. The parade kicked off Saturday with a colorful and quirky celebration of community spirit. Locals and visitors line the streets as floats, musicians, dancers, and costumed characters march through the heart of the small recreational mountain town. Set against a lush forest backdrop, the parade blends Alaskan charm with artistic flair, marking the start of a weekend filled with crafts, music, food, and fun in the Chugach Mountains.. The 2025 Forest Fair Donut Eating Contest was held Saturday afternoon. A couple of the competitors above were outdone by Kim Kleman who won the event while spending her first day in Alaska from Antigo, Wisconsin. “This is way beyond anything I thought it would be,” she remarked. When asked about her strategy? “Slam against the head of the guy next to me and eat it!”she exclaimed. “I love doughnuts.”
